MicroFinishing Films (UMFF)

Moyco Ultralap MicroFinishing Films are precision-coated with micro-graded abrasives in three different minerals: Aluminum Oxide (ALO), Silicon Carbide (SIC) and Diamond (DIA). ALO and SIC are used primarily in automobile parts such as cam and crankshafts. DIA Films are used in the polishing of extra hard surfaces. These micrograded films are produced using tightly graded powders and a proprietary bonding formula, which braces the particles to the backing to provide consistent, cost effective, smooth and long-lasting polishing results.

ALO and SIC rolls are coated using top quality 3- or 5-mil thick polyester film. A "Q" backing is available and can be applied for an anti-slip surface. Rolls are slit to order in all standard size lengths and widths, and the micron size is printed on the back for easy identification.

DIA coated films are used on a diverse range of extra-hard material, such as ceramic ferrules, ceramic rolls and tungsten carbide. These films are coated using micro-graded particles, as low as 9, up to 100 micron, using the highest-quality diamond particles and a proprietary, super-strong bonding system. This produces diamond rolls that provide consistency, reliability and reduced production costs.
